Absolutely stunning solid red mahogany 2 piece secretary by Maddox Table Company. Founded in 1898 by William Maddox, an English immigrant, in Jamestown, NY. Maddox Table Company is known for historically themed desks and secretaries, and the finest quality reproductions of period furniture. The hutch on this piece features glazed glass doors with well executed fretwork inside and out with lock and key. The base features three serpentine locking drawers and four sturdy ball and claw feet. This beautifully made secretary offers plenty of storage, cubbies and drawers for organization, and a lovely cabinet for display pieces. The pullout desk is also a perfect modern workspace. The craftsmanship is apparent in this unique and versatile piece. Excellent preowned condition!
