Antique English Carved Gargoyle Face Chairs - A Pair
Stunning and mysterious, this pair of fruit wood "face chairs" are uniquely different from Victorian North Wind chairs crafted to blow away evil spirits. Possibly dating back to the mid-1800s England, the carved back splats lean towards Gothic gargoyles. The frames are square with drop in seats. Superbly handcrafted and in excellent antique condition with minor imperfections consistent with age and use.
