Artisan-Crafted Koi Pedestal Bowl in Glossy Obsidian and Copper
An exceptional one-of-a-kind pedestal bowl that displays a masterful study in form and negative space. Finished in a deep lustrous black glossy glaze, the bowl is puncuated by a contrasting copper rim and an openwork pedestal featuring five pairs of meticulously carved koi fish facing one another in a rhythmic, harmonious display. The interplay between the open structure of the base and the solid reflective bowl, creates a striking visual balance, making this an ideal centerpiece for a curated interior. Attributed to American ceramist Gloria Cohen, this piece is in excellent preowned condition.
