Jerry Joslin "Ruins of Atlantis" Cast Bronze Sculpture Poseidon Neptune Mermaid
Signed and dated cast bronze sculpture by the late American sculptor Jerry Joslin 1942 - 2007. The self-taught artist's concern with tension and movement in his works is evident in this early piece entitled "Ruins of Atlantis". A nod to Greek mythology, this cast bronze depicts Poseidon, god of the sea entangled with a beautiful mermaid and octopus. The piece is signed and numbered 8/53.
Included with this work is a Certificate of Authenticity and a custom base pictured here set on casters. The sculpture, mounted on green marble is estimated to weigh 250 lb+. Excellent preowned condition!
